Cost Per Click

Cost Per Click (CPC) is the amount you pay each time a visitor clicks on your advert. For that reason it is important that your ad only appears when someone is searching for what you offer. 

You do not want your ads being displayed when the search is not a close match. An example of this is someone selling “Fine French Wine” you must ensure that searches for “Cheap French Wine” or German Fine wine are not included in the search.  This is done using negative search phrases and thus the costs are only generated for highly targeted visitors.
